On 17 May 2006, a (174.6-kg) 385-lb lemon shark was caught on fly by Dr Martin Arostegui (USA) – and guided by Ralph Delph (USA) – near the Marquesas Keys, Florida, USA. The International Game Fish Association (IGFA) officially recognised the shark as the heaviest fish ever documented on fly.
