The largest single body of fresh water is the Antarctic ice sheet, which holds approximately 30 million cubic kilometres (7.25 million cubic miles) of freshwater around 70% of the world's total. By contrast, the Caspian Sea contains around 78,200 cubic kilometres (18,761 cubic miles) of freshwater.
