Tom Thibodeau (USA) became the fastest coach in NBA history to earn 100 career victories, accomplishing the feat in 130 games, one game fewer than the previous mark set by Avery Johnson (USA) while coaching the Dallas Mavericks (USA) in 2006. Thibodeau’s milestone victory occurred during the Chicago Bulls’ 85-59 win over the Orlando Magic (both USA) on 19 March 2012.
