Canopy piloting (also known as swooping) tests a parachutist’s ability to control the canopy and fly accurately. Skydivers have to navigate through a number of gates situated on water before embarking on one of four tasks. In distance canopy piloting, competitors aim to achieve the longest distance from the entry gate before touching down.
