According to the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), Taiki Aoyama caught a 3.48-kg (7-lb 10-oz) stone flounder (Kareius bicoloratus) in Kamezaki Port, Aichi, Japan, on 2 October 2009.
The flounder measured 62 cm (2 ft) in length, had a girth of 53 cm (1 ft 8 in) and was caught using a vibration plug.
