The most appearances in the English Premier League is 658 and was achieved by James Milner (UK) between 10 November 2002 and 24 May 2026.

James Milner's English Premier League debut came at the age of 16 as a substitute in a 3–4 away win for Leeds United against West Ham. He broke the record with a 0–2 away win for Brighton & Hove Albion against Brentford, in which he made the starting XI.

Through his EPL career, Milner played for Leeds (48 apps), Newcastle (94 apps), Aston Villa (100 apps), Manchester City (147 apps), Liverpool (230 apps) and Brighton (39 apps). He won the league three times, twice with Manchester City and once with Liverpool, scoring 56 times and laying on 90 assists.

He also achieved records for the longest gap between first and last English Premier League goals (22 years 248 days) and the most consecutive English Premier League seasons played in (24).
