Ronnie O'Sullivan scored his first snooker century (117) at the age of 10 and his first maximum 147 break at the age of 15, a year before he turned professional. He compiled his first century as a professional in his first match at the Norbreck Castle Hotel in Blackpool, Lancashire, UK, during qualifying for the UK Championship. O'Sullivan scored 115 against Jason Scott and went on to win 5–2.
O’Sullivan reached the 1,000-century milestone with a 134 break in the final frame of his 10–4 victory over Neil Robertson in the final of the Coral Players Championships at the Preston Guild Hall in Lancashire, UK, on 10 March 2019. Seventeen of O’Sullivan’s 1,330 centuries have been maximum 147 breaks, which is also a record.
