Novak Djokovic (Serbia) earned $21,146,145 (£14,263,000) in the 2015 tennis season. This beats the $16,349,701 (£13,287,500) pocketed by Andy Murray in 2016 and the $15,864,000 (£11,756,500) won by Rafael Nadal in 2017.

Djokovic won 11 titles in 2015, including three Grand Slam tournaments (Australian Open, Wimbledon, US Open), a record six ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles and the end-of-season ATP World Tour Finals in London, UK. He also reached the final of the French Open, where he lost in four sets to Stan Wawrinka, and contested 15 finals in all (of the 16 singles tournaments he played in 2015). He was ranked world number one throughout 2015.

Djokovic reportedly took home 16 per cent of all the prize money available at the 16 tournaments he contested in 2015.
