Social networking site Myspace was founded by Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe (both USA) and launched in August 2003. It became one of the most popular sites on the web before being overtaken by Facebook in 2008. From its launch until February 2010 Tom Anderson was automatically added as your first ‘friend’ upon opening a Myspace account. As of 15 May 2013 Anderson, or ‘Myspace Tom’, had 11,752,308 friends on Myspace.
