In the 2005 World Scrabble Championships, held in London, UK, Mark Nyman (UK) and Rogelio Talosig (NZ) scored a total of 1,105 points (680-425). In America, Canada, Israel and Thailand, the game of Scrabble is governed by the American Tournament Word List (TWL), which is based on a modified version of the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary (OSPD).
