The most nations managed at the FIFA World Cup Finals is five and was first achieved by Bora Milutinovic (Serbia) who has led Mexico (1986), Costa Rica (1990), USA (1994), Nigeria (1998) and China (2002). It was equaled by Carlos Alberto Parreira (Brazil) who coached Kuwait (1982), United Arab Emirates (1990), Brazil (1994 & 2006), Saudi Arabia (1998) and most recently South Africa (2010).
Carlos Alberto Parreira won the World Cup as a coach in 1994 with Brazil defeating Italy on penalties in the final. Milutinovic has a proud record of reaching the knockout stages with the first four sides he coached, while China didn't progress past the group stage in 2002 it remains to date their only appearance in a World Cup.
