The atrium of the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is 180 m (590 ft) high. It forms a vast central cavity around which the hotel is built, and extends upwards from the ground floor. The Burj Al Arab is the world's tallest building used solely as a hotel.
