Most download sales in one week in the USA

On the week ending 30 December 2007, almost 43 million tracks were legally downloaded in the USA – a figure 42.5% higher than the record set on the same week in the previous year. In total in 2007, a record 844.1 million tracks were downloaded (45% up on the previous record breaking year) and this figure included an unprecedented 50 million complete album downloads, beating 2006’s total by 53.5%.
