Michael Schumacher set his first fastest lap at the 1992 Belgian Grand Prix, almost exactly a year after his Formula 1 debut (as a last-minute substitute) at the same circuit. He went on to win the race, beating the season's already-crowned champion Nigel Mansell. He lapped the famously challenging Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps at an average speed of 220.636 km/h (137.096 mph).
