The National Football League (NFL) record for most consecutive games scoring a touchdown (including postseason) is 17. It was first achieved by Lenny Moore of the Baltimore Colts between 1963–64, and equalled by Christian McCaffrey while playing for the San Francisco 49ers (all USA) during the 2022–23 season.
Moore (b. 25 November 1933) played both halfback and flanker for the Colts from 1956 to 1967.
He was named the NFL Rookie of the Year in 1956 and was selected for the Pro Bowl seven times.
Running back McCaffrey (b. 7 June 1996) was named AP College Football Player of the Year when he was a sophomore in 2015 and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy that same year.
McCaffrey's streak, which included three playoff games, ended during a 34-3 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars (USA) on 12 November 2023.
He also holds numerous NFL records and is one of just three players ever to record 1,000 rushing and 1,000 receiving yards.
McCaffrey comes from a family of athletes. He’s the son of former Stanford and NFL wide receiver Ed McCaffrey and former Stanford soccer player Lisa McCaffrey.
