The ABBA musical Mamma Mia! was written by Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Catherine Johnson. In February 2005 it had resident productions in London (West End), New York (Broadway), Las Vegas, Toronto, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Tokyo, Utrecht, Seoul, Madrid and Stockholm as well as US, Australian and international touring productions.

Les Misérables is a Cameron Mackintosh/Royal Shakespeare Company co-production written by Claude-Michel Schönberg, Anain Boubil and Jean-Marc Natel, and with English-language lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and James Fenton. In August 2007, it had productions in London, New York, Tokyo, as well as multiple resident and touring productions running simultaneously in North America, Demark, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
