The most consecutive Olympic Games to win a medal in an individual event is six by Armin Zöggeler (Italy), who won three bronze, two golds and one silver medal in the men's singles luge from 1994 to 2014.
The previous record was also held by a luger, Georg Hackl, who won five consecutive medals from 1988–2002. Other athletes have managed to win five medals in five Games, but this includes team events.
