John Nevil Maskelyne (1839-1917) and George Cooke (1825 - 1905) (both UK), founded, produced and starred in the Maskelyne & Cooke magic theatre at the Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly, London, UK, from 26 May 1873 until 10 December 1904. Maskelyne along with business partner David Devant, moved the business to St George's Hall, Langham Place, London, UK, on 2 January 1905 where the daily shows were regularly continued by three generations of the Maskelyne family until 14 October 1933 - a total span of more than 60 years.
