The highest-grossing music tour by a female artist is Taylor Swift’s (USA) career-spanning The Eras Tour, which, from 60 shows staged between 17 March and 12 November 2023, raked in an estimated $1,039,263,762 (£840,238,516), according to Pollstar.

After 14 years as the highest-grossing music tour by a woman, Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour ($411,000, or £252.9 million, in 2008–09) was finally knocked off its perch in 2023, first by Beyoncé’s 56-date Renaissance World Tour, which grossed $579,813,546 (£468,775,773) between 10 May and 1 October 2023, and then by Swift's Eras Tour.

The Eras Tour, the first billion-dollar music tour, visited the USA, Mexico and Argentina within Pollstar’s tracking period (17 November 2022 to 15 November 2023) and will have another 91 scheduled shows – six in Brazil on 17–26 November and 85 between 7 February and 8 December 2024 – to add to its already gargantuan gross until the tour wraps up in Vancouver, Canada.

Eras’ 60 concerts spread over 241 days were more than enough for it to overhaul the highest-grossing music tour of them all, Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, which took $939 million (£734.49 million) from 328 shows staged between 8 September 2018 and 8 July 2023.

Pollstar predicts a total gross for all 151 scheduled Eras Tour shows of around $2.165 billion (£1.725 billion, as of 11 December 2023).
