The tallest suit of armour currently on display measures 2.057 m (6 ft 8 in) high. Traditionally it was said to have been worn by England's John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster, in the 14th century, but is actually German in origin and dated to around 1540. It is currently on display in The White Tower at HM Tower of London, UK.
