The largest litter of tigers to be born in captivity is eight, all born on 15 April 1979 at Marine World Africa USA, Redwood City, California, USA (now called Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo, California), to a Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) named Baghdad. One of the six males and two female cubs died the next day, leaving seven surviving. NB we have used this before, see internal notes.
