The most tickets sold by a classical composer at the Tokyo Dome (single run) is 133,453, and was achieved by Joe Hisaishi (Japan), performing the Studio Ghibli Film Concert Tour Final in Tokyo, Japan from 16 to 17 July 2025.

Joe Hisaishi is widely recognized for his notable contemporary works and orchestral pieces. He has worked closely with Directors Takeshi Kitano and Nobuhiko Obayashi, as well as 12 animated Studio Ghibli films with Directors Hayato Miyazaki and Isao Takahata.

Joe Hisaishi's real name is Mamoru Fujisawa. His stage name is a phonetic pun inspired by his musical idol and renown jazz artist, Quincy Jones (USA). Joe is well known for his great works in anime and even he wrote the theme for "My Neighbor Totoro" in just 20 minutes!
