The most durable barbershop quartet is The Country Four (Canada), which formed in 1953 and has been performing regularly for a total of 50 years. The quartet is made up of Glenn Allin, Jack Allin, Merrill Brown and Don Staples (all Canada) who got together after Brass Band practice and have been singing ever since in and around Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.
