Xio Zhai Tien (The Great Doline) is the largest doline in the world. Situated in the Sichuan region of central southern China, this huge depression measures 500m (1,600 ft) across and 660 m (2,100 ft) deep. Dolines are formed when limestone caves subside.
Dolines are also known as sinkholes.
