The most siblings to have scaled Everest is eight, by the children of Chhiring Nurbu Sherpa and Kimjung Sherpa of Beding in Dolakha, Nepal. Brothers Pemba Gyalzen Sherpa, Phurba Thundu (aka Furba), Pemba Dorje Sherpa, Nima Gyalzen Sherpa, Phurba Tenjing Sherpa and Phurba Thiley Sherpa, and sisters Dawa Diki Sherpa and Nima Lhamu Sherpa, have all reached the top of the world's highest mountain in the course of their work as trekkers, guides and porters. The most recent ascent was on 12 May 2021, when Nima Lhamu made her first climb, along with her more experienced brothers Pemba Dorjee (his 21st climb) and Nima Gyalzen (his ninth).


Three other siblings - Pasang Futi Sherpa, Lhapa Diki Sherpa and Sonam Temba Sherpa - have yet to climb.
