The fastest 100 km on a penny farthing (male) is 4 hr 55 min 34 sec, achieved by Rolf Woodward (UK) at the Palmer Park stadium in Reading, Berkshire, UK, on 6 August 2026.

Rolf becomes the latest member of the Woodward family to set a world record atop a penny farthing. In 2024, his wife, Julie, became the inaugural holder of the fastest 1 km on a penny farthing (female) (2 min 22.320 sec) and, along with Melissa Eisdell (UK) and Evi Dumon (Belgium), also set the greatest distance on a penny farthing in one hour (paced, female): 24.785 km (15.400 mi).

While the couple's children, Flo and Finn, both demonstrated the world's smallest rideable penny farthing, with a front-wheel diameter of just 29 cm (11.4 in) that was built by Dan Bolwell (Australia), in London, UK, on 13 June 2026.
