Longest line of samsas

The longest line of samsas is 12,648 and was achieved by International Beverages Tashkent and PepsiCo in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on 24 May 2026.

Samsas are a Central Asian take on the samosa, with minced meat (lamb, and/or beef, in this case both), onions and spices in flaky pastry. A team of 35 chefs prepared the samsas over 8 hours. The dough and filling were made in advance, then rolled, filled and sealed on site before being baked in 40 traditional tandoor ovens. Around 300 samsas were baked in each tandoor at a time, enabling an efficient production of the full total.
