Former Gurkha soldier Magar was forced to have both his legs amputated after stepping on an improvised explosive device while on duty in Afghanistan in 2010.
He previously became the first double above-knee amputee to climb Everest (aka Sagarmāthā or Chomolungma), the world's highest mountain on the border of Nepal and Tibet, China, on 19 May 2023.
Topping Vinson also saw the completion of Magar's ultimate mission to become the first double amputee to scale the Seven Summits, the highest mountain on each continent, with Mont Blanc chosen as his European peak.
