Longest sauna session marathon relay

The longest sauna session marathon relay is 24 hr 6 min, and was achieved by Hanken Business Lab (Finland), in Helsinki, Finland, on 20 March 2026

Organised by Hanken Business Lab, this record attempt brought together over 150 participants in a continuous sauna relay lasting more than 24 hours. Timed to coincide with the International Day of Happiness, the “Nordic Saunathon” celebrated Finland’s ranking as the world’s happiest country by highlighting the cultural importance of sauna as a space for wellbeing, connection, and community. Participants rotated in and out under controlled conditions, demonstrating strong coordination and teamwork while maintaining the integrity and tradition of Finnish sauna practice.
