First non-English-language Super Bowl half-time show

When Bad Bunny (Puerto Rico, b. Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) headlined the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, USA, on 8 February 2026, he made history as the first act to perform the big-budget spectacle predominantly in a language (Spanish) other than English. The near-14-minute show attracted a combined TV audience of 128.2 million on NBC, Telemundo, Peacock and NFL+ and featured Lady Gaga (with a salsa version of “Die with a Smile”), Ricky Martin and Los Pleneros de la Cresta.

The performance began with “Tití Me Preguntó”, from the album Un Verano Sin Ti, and signed off with “DtMF”, one of the highlights from his latest studio album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos.

The “King of Latin Trap” was the latest in a long line of star acts – dating back to New Kids on the Block in 1991 – to headline the half-time show, which, once again, roped in more viewers than the Super Bowl game itself (the Seattle Seahawks’ 29–13 win against the New England Patriots). Previous performers include Michael Jackson (1993), U2 (2002), Madonna (2012), Coldplay (2016), The Weeknd (2021) and fellow rapper du jour Kendrick Lamar (2025), whose headline slot at Super Bowl LIX is still the most-watched half-time show in Super Bowl history (133.5 million TV viewers).
