Debí Tirar Más Fotos (aka DtMF; “I Should Have Taken More Photos”) by Bad Bunny (Puerto Rico, b. Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) made history at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on 1 February 2026 by becoming the first-ever Spanish-language album to be named Album of the Year.

It was only the second time that a Spanish-language set had made the awards-night shortlist for what is commonly referred to as “The Big Award”. In 2023, the rapper/singer’s Un Verano Sin Ti (“A Summer Without You”) had been among the contenders vying for the accolade alongside eventual winner Harry Styles.

Bad Bunny is just the third Latino act to win the Grammys’ highest honour, after Brazil’s João Gilberto (with Stan Getz) in 1965 and Santana (led by the Mexican-born guitarist Carlos Santana) in 2000.

Debí Tirar Más Fotos also won Best Música Urbana Album for the world-conquering musician, while a track from the album, “EOO”, won Best Global Music Performance as the Grammy Awards returned to the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, USA.

The album failed to overcome Tyler, the Creator’s Chromakopia for Best Album Cover, and the single “DtMF” lost out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Luther” for Record of the Year and Billie Eilish’s “Wildflower” for Song of the Year. Even so, Bad Bunny still emerged with more awards (3) from the 68th Grammys than anyone else bar Jelly Roll (3) and the unstoppable Lamar (5).

By the end of the 68th Grammys, Bad Bunny’s career haul of statuettes totalled six win from 16 nominations – all of them garnered since 2019.

On 8 February 2026, Bad Bunny will become the first musician to headline the Super Bowl half-time show (Super Bowl LX, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California) in the same year as winning Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards since Tony Bennett in 1994.
