Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 triumphed in the following categories:

It was also nominated for Best Audio Design and Players' Voice, but didn't win in those categories. However its total of 13 nods also earned it a record for most Game Awards nominations for a videogame in a single year.
The nine gongs saw Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 overtake The Last Of Us: Part 2 (Naughty Dog, 2020), which received 11 nominations and converted seven of these at The Game Awards in 2020.
Sometimes referred to as the "Oscars of gaming", the US-based Game Awards were established in 2014 by Canadian games journalist Geoff Keighley to recognize the best in gaming focusing on releases from the previous year.
