At the 2025 US Open in New York, the winners of the men’s (Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos), women’s (Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe) and mixed doubles (Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori) all took home $1 million (£739,990) per team.
The US Open was the second top-level tournament to offer a minimum million-dollar payout to its doubles winners, after Dabrowski and Routliffe collected $1.125 million (£868,986) for an undefeated week at the 2024 WTA Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 2-9 November. Rebranded as the Mixed Doubles Championship, Errani and Vavassori successfully defended their title under a new, controversial, two-day format played on 19-20 August 2025, in the week before the main US Open tournament. The 2025 US Open offered a total prize pot of $90 million (£66,599,100) to the players, making it the most lucrative tournament in tennis history.
