Mleiha Dairy Farm (Meliha Farms), developed by the Sharjah Department of Agriculture and Livestock (Ektifa), produces organic A2A2 milk from cows genetically verified to carry only the A2A beta-casein protein, which is commonly associated with easier digestion for some consumers. The milk is certified organic and produced without the use of synthetic hormones, routine antibiotics, GMOs, or chemical pesticides. The farm operates purpose-built facilities designed for local climate conditions, incorporating controlled housing, organic feeding systems, and continuous health-monitoring technology for the herd. Animal welfare protocols form a core part of operations, with standards covering housing space, nutrition, veterinary care, heat-stress management, and regular third-party oversight to ensure that herd size remains appropriate for the available infrastructure and that cattle wellbeing is maintained throughout production.
