The Grammy Awards’ Record of the Year category welcomed its first-ever K-pop nomination on 7 November 2025, as Rosé (New Zealand/South Korea, b. Roseanne Park/Park Chae-young) – for her Bruno Mars duet “APT.” – made the eight-track shortlist, alongside the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar and Chappell Roan, ahead of the 68th Grammy Awards on 1 February 2026.

Record of the Year, one of the “big four” awards at the Grammys, was won by Lamar’s “Not Like Us” in 2025.

Beyoncé is the category’s most nominated performer (nine), while Paul Simon and Bruno Mars are three-time Record of the Year winners.

Mastering engineer Tom Coyne (1954–2017) is the category’s most prolific winner overall, with four consecutive prizes (2015–18) for songs by (respectively) Sam Smith, Mark Ronson, Adele and Bruno Mars.
