In a “Golden” year for Korean pop, the Grammy Awards’ Song of the Year category welcomed its first-ever K-pop nominations on 7 November 2025, with both Rosé – for her Bruno Mars duet “APT.” – and the demon-hunting girl trio HUNTR/X (aka Rumi, Mira and Zoey) – for “Golden” – making the eight-track shortlist, alongside the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar, ahead of the 68th Grammy Awards on 1 February 2026.
Song of the Year, one of the “big four” awards at the Grammys, was won by Lamar’s “Not Like Us” in 2025.
Taylor Swift, who was not eligible for the 68th Grammys, is the category’s most nominated songwriter (eight), while two-time Song of the Year winners include Adele, Eilish, Mars and the members of U2.
