Most pre-saved album on Spotify

The Life of a Showgirl, the 12th original studio album by Taylor Swift (USA), attracted more than 6 million pre-saves on Spotify’s Countdown Page feature prior to the set’s highly anticipated release on 3 October 2025. More than a month earlier, on 31 August 2025, Spotify revealed that The Life of a Showgirl had become their most pre-saved album ever, notching up 5 million Countdown Page pre-saves to surge ahead of the numbers posted by Swift’s previous album, The Tortured Poets Department (2024).

Spotify’s Countdown Page for The Life of a Showgirl launched on 14 August 2025, 24 hours after Swift had announced details of her new album on the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast – which, at 1.3 million, set the record for the most concurrent views for a podcast on YouTube.

Spotify also reported that The Life of a Showgirl became 2025’s most streamed album in a single day, reaching the milestone in less than 11 hours on 3 October.

The 12 songs include opener “The Fate of Ophelia”, “Actually Romantic”, “CANCELLED!” and a title-track duet with Sabrina Carpenter.

Swift was Spotify’s most streamed artist of 2024 (26.6 billion globally).

Spotify’s Countdown Page feature was launched in the summer of 2024, allowing fans to pre-save soon-to-be-released albums, watch video clips and see the all-important timer count down to the moment of release.
