The tallest runner bean plant (Phaseolus coccineus) measured 8.006 m (26 ft 3.2 in) and was grown by Peter Glazebrook (UK) as assessed at the CANNA UK National Giant Vegetables Championship during the Malvern Autumn Show in Worcestershire, UK, on 26 September 2025.
At the same event, veteran competitive produce grower Glazebrook also set the record for the longest aubergine/eggplant with a specimen measuring 49 cm (1 ft 7.3 in).
