The lowest fuel consumption driving to 30 contiguous provinces in China by a plug-in hybrid powered production sedan is 2.90 litres per 100 km and was achieved by Nissan N6 project team (China), driving a Nissan N6, organized by Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company (China) from 13 October to 9 November 2025.
The challenge starated on October 13, 2025, in Lhasa, Tibet, and concluded 28 days later in Xinjiang. This extreme journey spanned more than 14,000 kilometers, navigating a 40℃-temperature range, seven distinct types of terrain, and a cumulative altitude drop of 5,200 meters.
