Bing Crosby (USA) (1904 - 1977) made 104 films for cinema and was producer to six during a singing and acting career which began in 1930. For a period of ten years, Bing was continually among the top ten box office stars and for five consecutive years (1944-49) he remained at No.1 spot - a feat no other film star has bettered.
He won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1944 in Going My Way and was nominated for Best Actor in The Country Girl (USA 1954) and Man on Fire (USA 1957)
