The largest instant photo mosaic (image) is 25.847 m² (278 ft² 30.2 in²) and was achieved by the Pingyao International Photography Festival Committee in collaboration with Zhang Xulong(both China), sponsored by Taiyuan New Jinshang Alliance Cultural Development Co., Ltd. (China), in Pingyao, Shanxi, China, as verified on 21 September 2025.
A grand celebration ceremony was held in the evening within the 2,800-year-old ancient city of Pingyao, where the success of the record attempt was officially announced and the certificate was presented. The PIP started from 19 Sept. and ended on 23 September. The attempt was designed to attract more young photographers from around the world to participate and draw their attention to the Pingyao International Photography Festival.
