The fastest half marathon dressed as a pilot (female) is 2 hr 8 min 23 sec, and was achieved by Bridget Burns (Canada), during the 2025 TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon on 19 October 2025.

Bridget chose to attempt this new Guinness World Records title dressed as a pilot as a means to raise awareness for costumed half marathons, specifically for those in the transportation industries of sea, land and air.

In order to prepare for the big race, she walked roughly 10km daily, ran, biked and trained diligently at the gym for cardio/stamina.

As per the guidelines for this record, participants are required to wear the following throughout the entire race- a pilot hat, aviator sunglasses, white button up shirt with epaulets and a tie, and dark coloured work trousers.
