The largest aerial pyrotechnic display on a parachuting canopy formation is 55.89 kg, and was achieved by Qatar Air Sports Committee and Joint Special Forces (both Qatar) in Zephyr Hills, Florida, United States, on 9 August 2025.
A total of 37 professional parachutists from Qatar Air Sports Committee prepared for the challenge with 108 pyrotechnic units carefully rigged to their parachutes. The team ascended in two aircraft, reaching an altitude of 12,500 feet.
