The oldest freediver to complete a 100-metre constant weight dive (male) is Tetsuo Hara (Japan, b.20 December 1966), who was 58 years and 235 days old, as verified in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines, on 14 August 2025.
Tetsuo aimed to prove that human potential can continue to evolve even beyond the age of 50 by taking on this record challenge. Through his pursuit of pushing limits regardless of age, he hopes to inspire others to see the true value of taking on challenges. The attempt was conducted during an international competition under the supervision of an official AIDA judge.
