The longest kohlrabi (Brassica oleracea: Gongylodes Group) measured 2.320 metres (7 ft 7.3 in) and was grown by Gregory K.K. Chow (Malaysia) at the School of Life Sciences and Chemical Technology, Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore, on 20 December 2024.
Gregory K.K. Chow dedicated many years of his life to advancing hydroponics and indoor agriculture. He pursued this record to demonstrate the vast potential of smart farming in controlled environments, highlighting how innovation can drive sustainable agricultural practices. This kohlrabi was grown over a little more than three years and weighed 11.05 kg.
