The most NHPA World Horseshoe Tournament victories in the men’s category is 29, by Alan Francis (USA) in 1989, 1993, 1995–99, 2001, 2003–10, 2012–19 and 2021–25.
Francis secured his 29th title – and his 13th consecutively – in 2022, with 15 wins from 15 matches in Sandy, Utah, USA. First staged in 1909, the World Horseshoe Tournament is currently held every July/August. Between 2004 and 2010, Francis enjoyed an 118-game winning streak at the championships. His closest rival is Ted Allen, who won 10 championships between 1933 and 1959.
