The highest kite surf tow-up is 1587 ft 11in (484 m) and was achieved by Jake Scrace (UK), in association with Gleeds LLP (UK), at The Needles, Alum Bay, Isle of Wight, UK, on 23 July 2025.
As part Gleeds LLP celebrating its 150th anniversary, the attempt was made with an unmodified kite surfing equipment including a certified Leading Edge Inflatable (LEI) kite. The record holder was towed to the height using a fixed line attached to a paramotor piloted by Chey Anich. On being released at the record height, Jake Scrace descended with full control of the kite and made it safely on to the water surface.
