Most orbital launches in a single year (global)

Between 1 January and 31 December 2024, the world's space agencies and private launch companies flew 258 successful missions to Earth Orbit and beyond. This is more than double the annual figure from just five years ago. The largest single contributor to this tally was the United States, which accounted for 145 of the successful launches. The vast majority having been made by US launch company SpaceX, whose workhorse fleet of reusable Falcon 9 rockets launched 132 times.
