The most short-track speed skating Olympic medals won by an individual (female) is 11, by Arianna Fontana (Italy) between 2006 and 2022. This is also the outright record.

At the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, Fontana claimed a gold in the women’s 500 m and silver in the 1,500 m and the mixed team relay to make her the most decorated speed skater in Olympic history. Fontana – nicknamed L’Angelo Biondo (“The Blonde Angel”), won her first Winter Olympic medal at Turin 2006 at the age of just 15. She went on to amass two golds, four silvers and five bronze at the Games, winning a medal at every contestable distance (500 m, 1,000 m, 1,500 m, 3,000 m relay and 2,000 m mixed relay).
