The most wins of the Premier League Player of the Season award is 2, achieved by Thierry Henry (France) for Arsenal in 2004 and 2006; and equalled by Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) for Manchester United in 2007 and 2008; Nemanja Vidić (Serbia) for Manchester United in 2009 and 2011; Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium) for Manchester City in 2020 and 2022 and Mohamed Salah (Egypt) for Liverpool in 2018 and 2025.
The annual award was first handed out in the 1994/95 season, when it was won by Blackburn Rovers’ Alan Shearer.
